Why Filipinos Choose ph996 for Poker

Poker isn't just a card game in the Philippines — it's a social tradition. From family bungalows in the province to weekend get-togethers in BGC, Pinoys love a good card session. ph996 takes that culture online and gives it a proper upgrade.

Poker Strategy Tips for Filipino Players

Poker is a game of skill, patience, and reading people — qualities that Filipinos are naturally good at. Still, knowing a few fundamentals can dramatically change your results at the ph996 tables.

Play tight from early position.

When you're one of the first to act, you have the least information. Stick to strong hands — top pairs, strong connectors — and avoid speculative hands that need a lot to connect.

Manage your bankroll properly.

Never put more than 5% of your total bankroll in one session. If you have ₱5,000 set aside for poker, start at the ₱250 buy-in tables. This keeps you in the game long enough to get the edge working in your favor.

Don't chase bad draws.

It's tempting to call a big bet hoping to hit that flush on the river, but pot odds matter. If the price is too high relative to your chances, the fold is almost always the right play.

Use position to your advantage.

Being last to act gives you more information than your opponents. At ph996's live tables, leverage late position to steal pots, pick the right spots to bluff, and apply pressure when the board tells the right story.
